Our favorite places are in or around Santa Cruz (where we live). The beach across from Corcoran Lagoon (between 21st and 24th ave) and Arana Gulch (North of the harbor, Off Park Way South).
They love to run on sand and play in the grass at the Gulch. We've taken them to Scotts Valley dog park and they don't like running on the tanbark so much. But we do like that the small dogs are kept separated from the big dogs (although sometimes there just arent that many dogs there to play with!)
hi mike,
the beach and harbor are favorites among our dogs, we have a key to the dock gates and they actually love running up and down the docks! flidais got carried away one day and ran right off the dock into the water! they absolutely love to tear around on the beach though!
i've also found a couple really good hikes around us (boulder creek)where they can be off leash and run to their hearts' content. one hike i cycle out to (it's about 5 miles away) on my recumbent trike with the dogs harnessed in a trailer i tow behind me, then we hike for an hour or so and cycle back. have to get fergus used to that soon! of course we also rode all the way down to kirk's creek last summer (south of big sur) over the course of 4 days and that was a big thrill-- especially curling up in all the other campers' laps in the evening at the campgrounds! they were such celebrities in their trailer!
by the way, fergus is really starting to get the hang of paper training now-- yippeeeee! and the three of them have started curling up together to sleep! fergus got to walk to town and back curled up inside my down vest yesterday; he was very cozy and never made a peep. soon we'll start the leash training (he gets his next dose of shots on wednesday).
how are the others doing?

Hi Anni,
Thats great. We're glad Fergus is adjusting well and enjoying his new home. That is an interesting idea about the tow behind trailer. Is it for a baby and you adapted it? Must try that.
We still have Joseph Jr, Big Bob and Runty. They are growing very fast! We have advertised them on Google and Facebook (trying online now). There are a few people calling in about them. The other families from what I hear are really getting along great with their new pups.

I used to live fairly close to Santa Cruz (San Martin/Gilroy) but my father was transferred to Florida when I was in high school (nope not telling you how long ago that was

)
There are a lot of great dog parks in Central Florida so my dogs get to go to a new park about every month, we have a pretty good size Iggy Meetup Group in Orlando and the meet twice a month at different dog parks. We have been discussing taking the dogs to a dog friendly beach, may be one day.
My boyfriend and I pretty much include Getty in everything we do. We have been teaching him how to swim the past few weekends and he is doing really well with it. We also enjoy taking him camping and on road trips to Granny's.

haha..he is pretty much like our kid.
